The mouse is labeled "j" for Jerry. Now see mom you're gonna go right around here into outside with a coat and shoes on with some pants. Then what you're gonna do is go and buy the mouse trap. And then what your'e gonna do is I'm going to go and set up the tent so we can hide in it. And then what dad will do is will hide under the rug. Drew will go and, wait dad is not gonna hide under the rug. He's going to get the mouse and then what Carson will do, he'll make sure everything goes out right. Then what we'll do when mom comes back. You know what will happen? Is that you'll sit right in front of the hole and put some peanut butter on it (the trap) and the mouse will get hurt. That's all.

So Carson waits in a birdcage to make sure everything comes out right? That sounds like an excellent plan to me! Also, I am a little confused about why you need to go buy the mouse trap if Dad is already going to ambush the mouse and "hurt" it :)

Wow... that is as precious as it gets. Typically, my kids hold all the slots in my Cutest Things Done By Kids Top Ten List, but that one definitely qualifies.

Okay so per clarification by Hailey, Carson is not in a birdcage but rather an orange carseat next to the tent that we can hide in. The line from "dad" to a small rectangle is Dad going to hide under the rug before he changes plans.
Also, what I didn't capture was the alternate plan they built a working model for. It consisted of a toy tape recorder strung up between two chairs by the attached microphones. When the mouse came by they would just let her go!
Jerry1, Jerry2, and Jerry3 all have bit the dust. The plan worked. Good work kids.
